How well is your IT actually owned?

Twelve questions a COO or CFO can answer without asking IT. No email required to see your grade — that is the point.

Scorecard questions

01 If email went down right now, is there one person or company you would call who owns it end to end?
02 Do your last five “resolved” IT issues stay resolved?
03 When leadership asks an IT question, do you get a plain-English answer with a recommendation?
04 Is multi-factor authentication enforced on every account — with zero exceptions?
05 Has anyone actually restored a backup this year — not just confirmed the job ran?
06 When someone leaves the company, is every account and access removed the same day?
07 Does a new hire have laptop, accounts, and correct access ready on day one?
08 Do all your locations follow one IT standard?
09 Is your environment documented well enough that a new provider could take over tomorrow?
10 Does a forward-looking renewal calendar exist — licenses, hardware, contracts?
11 Do you know your monthly IT cost per employee?
12 Are IT invoices predictable — no surprise line items?
